A local KCMO General Contractor, who is a leader in commercial construction, is looking to invest in a Superintendent. With more than 85% negotiated work, they are on track for substantial, yet manageable, growth.
Come lead multiple design-build projects, building some of the most rewarding & impactful construction projects. Ground-up projects vary from $15M to $60M on average.
Qualified candidates will have:
- experience building ground-up In Industrial, Distribution, Warehouse, Multifamily, Municipal, Retail, Mixed-use, Education, Healthcare, Senior Living, Student Living, Office, and/or Hotel ($10M+).
- a minimum of 5 years experience.
- the ability to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships.
- local market knowledge/experience with subs.
- a strong understanding of construction, and more importantly, a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all construction activities on-site, including crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, monitoring progress and identifying potential delays or roadblocks.
- Proactively manage project budgets, identifying and controlling costs associated with labor, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality control are met throughout construction.
- Conduct regular inspections and enforce all safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain all project documentation, including daily logs, construction drawings, and submittals.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, motivating and mentoring crew members.
- Maintain strong relationships with local authorities and address any concerns from the surrounding community.
