Build the insurance programs that bring new ideas to market.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to join a boutique insurance consulting and product-development firm that helps carriers, MGAs, Insurtechs, and emerging insurance businesses turn ideas into market-ready insurance programs.
This is more than a traditional program management role. You’ll be an insurance builder and strategic problem-solver, taking programs from concept through underwriting strategy, coverage, guidelines, operations, compliance, and implementation.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and expansion of commercial P&C and specialty insurance programs.
- Evaluate program structure, underwriting appetite, economics, coverage, and distribution strategy.
- Translate underwriting strategy into guidelines, coverage concepts, operational procedures, and implementation requirements.
- Manage multiple client engagements, keeping priorities, risks, dependencies, and deliverables on track.
- Collaborate with actuaries, coverage counsel, underwriting, operations, data, technology, and client leadership.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data, automation, and AI to improve underwriting and operations.
- Research regulatory requirements and develop practical solutions for admitted and non-admitted environments.
- Create clear, executable deliverables while challenging assumptions and avoiding unnecessary complexity.
What We’re Looking For:
- You’re an insurance practitioner who has built programs, not simply managed projects.
- You have significant commercial Property, Casualty, and/or Specialty experience.
- You have hands-on experience building or managing insurance programs.
- You have experience with carriers, MGAs/MGUs, Insurtechs, or similar environments.
- You have a track record developing underwriting guidelines, coverage, procedures, and implementation plans.
- You have experience with admitted and non-admitted insurance.
- You have a strong understanding of underwriting, profitability, risk appetite, and coverage structure.
- You have excellent communication and project-management skills.
- You’re comfortable using technology, including Jira, Microsoft 365, and AI tools.
Why Join?
- You’ll work alongside a small team of experienced insurance professionals who love building things that actually get to market.
- You’ll have direct client exposure, significant autonomy, flexible remote work, and the opportunity to shape both client programs and the firm as it grows.
If you're an insurance nerd who has actually built programs—and wants to apply that experience in new ways—we'd love to hear from you.
